Vintage Morita Gil lapis lazuli designer bangle

Beautiful vintage mixed metal designer bangle made by Morita Gil from Chile.

This stunning bracelet was made around the 1980's. Morita Gil uses stones that are native to Chile - in this case lapis lazuli.

Her jewellery has a distinctive look that has both folkloric and modern elements. She has accessorized the likes of Hillary Clinton, Liza Minelli and Margaret Thatcher. Her pieces are often presented as gifts at state visits.

These specific pieces features a pierced brass frame with beautiful flowing lines and textured silver coloured plating with a large natural deep blue Lapis Lazuli gemstone adorning the centre.
