Edited by Jane Eckett, with essays by leading Irish art historians such as Síle Connaughton-Deeny, Catherine Coughlan, Riann Coulter, Katharine Crouan, Denise Ferran, S.B.Kennedy, Frances Ruane, Yvonne Scott and John Turpin.  These essays  provide fresh insights into the artists, th emes, and cultural context of the collection, while detailed catalogue entries reveal the stories behind individual works. This copy as marks to covers and corners curled, what looks to be a wine stain to bottom edge, discolouration to back cover. Still nice tight copy of an overview of a collection that frankly is on a par with many of the national collections.
