Wing back Queen Anne Antique Chair

Genuine late Victorian / Edwardian era (circa 1890-1910) Queen Anne style wingback armchair. This is a brilliant find for antique collectors, restorers, or upcycling enthusiasts.

While a previous owner wrapped the chair in a blue floral chintz fabric, a look underneath reveals the original, antique red patterned damask velvet/velour upholstery still intact underneath!

The skeleton of the chair is fantastic quality. It features a solid antique hardwood frame with traditional, heavy-gauge double-cone (hourglass) coil springs that are hand-tied underneath. The seat still has brilliant firm support and bounce—craftsmanship you simply cannot buy in modern furniture stores.

Condition Note:
The frame is completely solid. The blue outer fabric is intact but the thin black dust cover on the very bottom underneath has perished/shredded over time. The original red velvet layer shows historical wear. Selling exactly as-is so the buyer can decide whether to preserve the original antique velvet layer or strip it back for a fresh project.
