RETRO Heaven - Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k Bundle - Refurbished, Recapped and Composite Modded
It is a tale of woe
A certain adverts user...no longer with us, send me a ZX spectrum bundle that I paid €240 for (yes I know a lot, but it was a nice bundle and I thought I could flip it for a little extra).
Yeah they are getting rarer over here in Ireland, prices gone mad.
Anyway it arrived promptly and then my soul left my body when I turned it on and no keys worked, the picture was crappy and couldn't get any sound or response to the tape unit
Basically I was told it was working and it wasn't
When I opened the poor dear up the keyboard membrane was snapped and basically disintegrated.
Then proceeds a tale of misery and, ultimately, triumph as I declared to the greek Gods of old that I would rebuild it
It now loads games over tape from the tape recorder in this bundle as well as from your PC/Laptop/Phone with the apprpriate (free) software (I can direct you to tools/apps you can use)
