@Joanna Khan the other option is to get a more professional switch less region free kit (more expensive)

Also remember your tv needs to support 60Hz NTSC either way

@Joanna Khan if using the composite video or the RF video output then yes image will appear black and white

But a correct signal is available on the RGB pins so if your tv supports gb over SCART you can buy a SCART Megadrive cable and just use that

Otherwise you needs a PAL 60 mod which requires a small circuit board to be added with the correct timing crystal for NTSC signals

This is possible on the Megadrive 1 (not possible on the Megadrive 2)
