The BYD SEAL 6 DM-i Touring Boost brings BYD's advanced Super Hybrid DM-i technology into a sleek and practical estate car, giving you the smoothness of electric driving with the long-distance flexibility of a petrol engine.

For Irish motorists, it's a particularly interesting combination: use electric power for shorter everyday journeys, then rely on the petrol engine when you're travelling further afield without needing to plan every journey around charging stops.

And unlike a conventional saloon, the Touring estate body gives you a seriously practical load area, making it an excellent fit for families, business users, commuters and anyone who needs extra luggage space.

SUPER HYBRID DM-i – THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

The SEAL 6 DM-i Touring Boost combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine, electric motor and BYD Blade Battery into a smooth automatic plug-in hybrid drivetrain.

The Boost produces 135kW of total system power, with the electric motor delivering up to 145kW and 300Nm of torque. It uses front-wheel drive and can accelerate from 0–100km/h in around 8.5 seconds.

Its 10.08kWh Blade Battery provides up to 50km of WLTP combined electric driving range, while BYD quotes a total combined range of up to 1,350km with a full battery and fuel tank.

That makes it particularly well suited to Irish driving.

Plug in at home and use electric power for your daily commute, school runs and local driving, while retaining the petrol engine for longer journeys around Ireland.

This is where the Touring really stands apart.

The SEAL 6 Touring provides 500 litres of boot space with the rear seats in place, increasing to a huge 1,535 litres with the rear seats folded.
