Vintage 1968 Marx Johnny Apollo "Space Crawler" Moonwalker Set

Vintage 1968 Marx Johnny Apollo "Space Crawler" Moonwalker Set - Near Complete!

A wonderful piece of space-race era history: the rare, vintage 1968 battery-operated "Space Crawler" (also known as the Moonwalker) from the Johnny Apollo toy line by Louis Marx & Co.

What’s Included:

Space Crawler Vehicle: Marked with the classic circular Marx Toys logo and the Roman numeral date MCMLXVIII (1968) on the base. Features original "89" and "U.S. Space Corps" decals.

Johnny Apollo Astronaut Figure: 8-inch tall posable action figure in his bright orange spacesuit, complete with the vintage NASA emblem stamped on his chest.

Astronaut Gear Case & Accessories: The original white two-piece plastic utility case containing an exceptionally rare assortment of original white plastic tools/gear (including his white baseball cap, space helmet frame, geiger counter/scanner, wrench, and tubing).

Condition & Battery Compartment:

The toy is in uncleaned, original vintage condition with light scuffs and surface dust from storage.

The battery compartment well is clean. Unlike most surviving toys from this era, there is NO destructive white or green crusty battery acid corrosion on the contacts, and the original paper instruction sticker is still cleanly attached inside the well.

UNTESTED: This item is being sold strictly UNTESTED as I do not have the specific batteries on hand to verify the motor function.

SOLD AS SEEN: Please review all photos carefully to assess the exact physical condition and part completeness. What you see pictured is exactly what you will receive.
