McIlroy A62

Model A62. This was made in 2023. I am the first and only owner having bought it directly from TFOA.
Solid Engelmann spruce top and solid figured Brazilian mahogany back and sides. Five piece mahogany neck and solid ebony bridge and fretboard with maple purfling. Body with maple,pau ferro and rosewood purfling inlays. 12th fret Celtic knot. Double dot @12th. Gold plated upgraded Gotoh SG’s 510 black button machine heads. Bone nut and saddle. Upgraded wood combination,purflings, bindings and veneered headstock.

I emailed Dermot McIlroy with a question about this guitar sometime in 2024 and he told me it was the only guitar at that time that he had made with that exact wood combination so it was a unique McIlroy. Perhaps this has changed since with another A or other models made with the same wood combination but I haven’t come across or heard of one. This was still true as of 19th Aug 2027 confirmed by Dermot but one was in the pipeline but the exact model I am unsure of. Anyway a very special guitar. It’s in as new perfect condition. Not a scratch.
This is a fine guitar with extra body depth as McIlroy A models have giving great bass response and still the mahogany shimmer in trebles. It’s fitted with an LR Baggs Anthem SL. The Anthem does not fit McIlroys due to bracing design at the soundhole. Happy to answer any question and see what interest maybe out there. Cash preferably or trade for a top end similar acoustic.
