@limavadypaddy: This is a full-size guitar, most 12-year-olds will be able to play it, though if your son is smaller in stature you might look at a 3/4-size guitar instead, though at 12 years he'll most likely outgrow it fairly quickly. We have 3/4-size guitars also, but we are out of stock on the LH models at the moment, expected within 3-4 weeks though.
