@profx, thanks for checking the shipping options. It sounds about right, the last minute quote is the way to ship it, Just need to wait for the day when the last minute quote is available, as this huge saving only possible when they have an extra cargo capacity. (But need to be very precise with the dimensions and weight provided.) I would be willing to pay the full asking price if it would include the shipping. But I understand the inconvenience of shipping, and also waiting when the last minute shipping quote option is available.

@anton.o: I've no experience with international shipping so I may be wrong. I typed the specs into FedEx and i got 2 prices: 1st being like 2000 dollars and also a last minute quote for 125 dollars. Not completely sure what is the difference besides the price.

@LiamW2020: yes it's specifically for this double bass, its only as big as the body without the neck (so you can only fit the bass inside when you fold the neck inside the body)
