It's 3 connectors in total. They do connect pretty securely. They work well in terms of funcionality - they will secure the 2 buggies fine. But we found it a bit difficult maneuvering 2 buggies along narrow footpaths. So we eventually transitioned to using a bike trailer which was a little less wide.
